Yang is not the only Nobel Laureate that I criticized. In fact, I have criticized 9 Nobel Laureates in my papers. Yang would give a great to the Chinese academic community if you admitted that his view is incorrect and out-dated. A much younger Nobel Laureate that I criticized is Professor G. 't Hooft.

Science is based on evidences. If a Nobelist supports me, this will be good for others to pay attention. However, the aim of science is not to convince the "big guys", but to establish the evidences and facts.

Yang is singled out because he had been very influential in general relativity. Besides, if you did not challenge Yang, many scientists (Chinese or not) would not be convinced because the tradition of authority worship in this field.

Besides, Yang and Zhou are two very different role models in China.
