Mr 潤濤閻, I have been reading your posts with great interest and sometimes admiration. But this time I have to disagree with you on the interpretation of this Paulson-on-his-knee event.

First, "literally on one knee" 就是“文字上的單腿下跪” ?
I am surprised at your knowledge of the English language, which does not seem to match the level of confidence with which you analyzed American media's response to the event.

"Literally" is not 文字上. It's synonymous to "actually". Whoever used the word believed that Mr Paulson was really, actually, physically on his knee, not metaphorically.

This following paragraph yours reflects your frustration at the ignorance of the Chinese media, which I share to some degree. But I cannot help noticing an air of condescension and self-righteousness. There is nothing wrong in feeling holier-than-thou, if you can support it with substance.
You have a good point in criticizing the bias in Chinese media, but your argument in making the point is flawed.

By the way, your analysis of the American media has some wishful thinking. And when it comes to partisan politics there is always some bias, I wonder which medium you are referring to by saying 美國媒體要充當和事老的角色 .

From what I googled, Paulson was on his knee and he was begging, if only (half)-jokingly. Saying 美國人都知道single knee是求婚的溫柔的央求 is just laughable.
