the so-called "christians" (your first class citizens) at the time were more than happy to deal with money. the knights templar, the knights hospitallier, the merchant republics of italy, were filthy rich.

on the other hand, the jews had these to say with regard to christians, in their holy text, the talmud; if you ever wonder how they were able to keep their identity after thousands of years? here is how:

"An Israelite must not associate himself with the Akum (Christians) because they are given to the shedding of blood."

"A woman must wash herself again if she sees any unclean thing, such as a dog, an ass, or People of the Earth; an Akum, a camel, a pig, a horse, and a leper."

"Those who do good to the Akum... will not rise from the dead."

"The life of a Goi and all his physical powers belong to a Jew."

"For the wealth of the Akum is to be regarded as common property and belongs to the first who can get it."

"The name of God is not profaned when, for example, a Jew lies to a Goi by saying: 'I gave something to your father, but he is dead; you must return it to me'..."

"But in time of war the Akum are to be killed, for it is written: 'The good among the Akum deserve to be killed, etc.' "

"The Akum are not to be cured, even for money, unless it would incur their enmity."

I am not preaching racial hatred here, since the hatred of the jews against christians isn't any worse than the hatred of any other non-christian groups against christians, albeit much more formalized.

I'm merely pointing out, to those who are still under the delusion that political/financial/military aide to the israelites is a divine responsiblity through all sort of misinterpretations of the bible, that the only thing the israelites truly need, and sorely lack, is evangelism.
