that recipe:

choose any favorite vegetables (such as, Hu1Luo2Bo, Yuan2Bai2cai4, Qin2Cai4,
Pie3Lie-according to TianJin dialect but we call it 'Yu4Tou', they should be hard
instead of soft)

make them threadlike

blend them to show the beautiful color (white, orange, green, purple etc.)

blend them with table salt (the amount of salt is the KEY, we need a few experiments to meet our own needs, less salt would cause DECAY, more salt
make them too salty, the right amount of salt is needed to give delicious
sweet sour crisp stuff, I would begin with more salt)

add cold boiled water to cover the vegs

put a piece of STONE on top so that the vegs could be always staying in water
as church in Christ or wife in husband's lovely arms

stand by at room temperature till bubbling (sign that Fa1Xiao4 started)

put the container into a refrigerator otherwise too sour

Notes:

1. Oil free
2. Use a little bit 'soup' for next batch
3. Blame miao brother and ask miao sister directly if it doesn't work
