For we shall be even gods, if we shall deserve to be amongst those of whom he declared, “I have said, you are all gods” (Ps. 82:6) and “God stands in the congregation f the gods” (Ps. 82:1). But this comes of his own grace, not from any property in us, because it is he alone who can make gods.

若我們配成為那些他（神）所謂的‘我曾說，你們是眾神（複數，gods）’（詩篇82：6）和‘神站在眾神的會眾間’（詩篇82：1），我們就能夠成為眾神（複數，gods）。但這乃是因為祂的恩典，而不是因為在我們裡面有任何的特質，因為只有祂，能夠造出眾神（複數，gods）來。
