When He emptied himself of the form of God and took the form of a servant, the weakness of the assumed humanity did not weaken the divine nature, but that divine power was imparted to humanity without the virtue of divinity being lost in the human form. For when God was born to be man the purpose was not that the Godhead should be lost, but that, the Godhead remaining, man should be born to be god.
當祂從神的形像倒空了自己而取了奴僕的形像，被取的人性的軟弱並沒有消弱祂的神性，反而神聖的大能並不因為人性而有任何的消減，被注入到人性里。當神被生成為人的時候，其目的不是失去神格，反而使神格得以保留，人能夠被生而成為神。
