講員介紹(Speaker):
Afshin Javid: Born into a Muslim family in Iran, Afshin was such a devout and fervent follower of Islam that he would
have given his life for his faith. At the age of 12, he was enlisted by the Baseej-a branch of the Hezbollah, an Islamic
group to walk on mine bombs. This act of faith was to clear a path for soldiers and to bring honor to Allah. Passionate
about furthering his studies in Islam, he studied in Pakistan. So devoted he would read the Koran cover to cover every
10 days! His original mission was to preach Islam to non-Muslims in North America. While en route, he was caught with
30 illegal passports and detained in Pudu prison. He eventually became the religious leader there. In his tiny prison cell
which he shared with five others, Jesus Christ appeared to him. He commissioned Afshin to tell the world of His
forgiveness and mercy. Since this encounter, Afshin has been busy sharing the Gospel around the world. His heart is for
all who are lost and has a deep love for the Muslims. He recently started a ministry called I AM thirsty. This ministry is
calling one million Christians to find one non-believer to pray, fast, love, share and mentor for one year. He and his wife
Mellissa are currently pastoring a church in North Vancouver, BC, Canada for Iranians and Canadians. They have been
married for 15 years and have three children.
阿夫辛·賈維德 (Afshin Javid): 牧師出生於伊朗一個穆斯林家庭，他曾經對伊斯蘭教狂熱虔誠到願意為之獻身的地步。他12歲就被真主
