無意翻到匹夫教授四年前的一首舊詩。記得當時就很喜歡並曾匆匆譯為英文。今日又見，感到英譯實在粗糙，對原詩不公。遂作改動並再貼。原詩附在下面。

You came into my life out of nowhere
When I was unprepared as ever.
Overwhelmed with joy but then I heard you whisper
“I must leave.” There goes my rapture.

Leave if you must
Why then woke up my heart,
Safe in a guarded fortress,
Perfectly content and in peace?

Leave if you must
Why then defer and wait?
Why not leave tomorrow or the day after,
Why stay until near in our collective future? 

Leave if you must
Forever or for a moment
Countless is love. Lasting or transient,
Its immensity is measured only by the degree it’s lived.

Short as it may seem
Tonight, I’ll sleep in your arms and dream
A moment is eternal, unbounded
And infinite if seized.

你卻突然來到
我喜悅的情緒還沒有沉靜下來
你低聲的訴說
你需要離開

離開也就罷了
你卻痴說着愛
一千年也不想動的心
就這麼蠢蠢起來

離開也就罷了
卻定在一個不太遙遠的未來
不是今天
不是明天
是--我們的未來

但是你要離開
生死或者是一剎
或者是。。。
未來。

無常乃常
今夜
就讓我枕着你的胳膊
安然做一個短短的夢
