Guo Yukuan organized the first investigative journalism training program in China and established a cross-district collaborative network for journalists. He does hard-hitting segments on medical fraud, environmental issues, urbanization, and equality in education for CCTV's high-profile program News Probing. In Nanfengchuang magazine, he recently reported on urban land seizures in the country after interviewing more than 100 victims, lawyers, and government officials. He has traveled to Kashi to interview Islamic leaders and to Xinjiang to study the volatile relationship between the Han (the majority population) and various minority groups.
