looks like you don't understand the concept of "retardation"; when a nation is doing good and arising, some effects will show up very soon, but some don't, instead, they will show up in the future. when germany was doing great, they wouldn't get nobels immediately. nobels would show up 30 years later. likewise, when germany was doing bad, nobels kept flowing into their pocket; nobels flew in that way, not because nobels are associated with bad, but because what germany invested a lot long time ago.
