若中藥之安全性【缺乏科學檢驗】，肘子何能得出中藥有毒之【科學結論】？

任何人都支持政府執法部門應該對藥品的安全性，並對藥品的有效性進行監管。

就是任何受到FDA嚴格監管的西藥，其【安全性】也必須在【正確】使用藥物的前提之下。

就是在嚴格【正確】使用藥物的前提之下，也不能就如同方舟子認為的【“今天中國市場上的化學藥物（西藥）絕大部分都是獲得FDA批準的，在上市前其安全性和有效性已經過了嚴格的檢驗，一般不會出大的問題。”】。

事實上，FDA對那些已經批準的藥品或食物，也會繼續進行嚴格監控。FDA每年都會recall許多藥品，那些有名的如vioxx就不用說了。不尊重醫生建議而吃【FDA批準的西藥】，不是”一般不會出大的問題“，而是”肯定“會出大問題。

由此可見，藥品的安全本來是個很複雜的問題，而非如方舟子認為的只要經過FDA批准，就『一般不會出大的問題』的。

ＦＤＡ批准藥品的時候，總是在考量 benefit/risk的比例問題。 同樣，中藥的使用也存在benefit/risk的問題。

【任何藥物都有安全性問題】。這是毋庸置疑的。

因為是藥品是用來治病的，而不是“保健品”。所以，當藥品的對病人的“好處”大過“壞處”的時候，基本就是一個可以被認可的“藥物”。關鍵是如何衡量“好處”和“壞處”。

所以，方舟子在不考慮中藥也是【藥品】，需要【在醫生的指導】下進行“服用”用於治療疾病的情況下，在中藥的“副作用”或risk上大肆渲染，寫書說“中藥有毒”“吃中藥會毒死人”，甚至立出一串“有毒中藥的名單”，而沒有任何這些中藥使用的“劑量”和“使用方法”的說明，是非常卑鄙的做法。

比如方文章中提到的“蛇油”，是個很好的例子。蛇油本是傳統中藥。由早期的華裔帶到美國。事實上，現代科學證明，中國傳統中藥“蛇油”確實有“消炎，止痛”的效果，因為蛇油中含有非常高濃度的EPA。雖然中醫師不知道蛇油的具體成份，但是，從長久的醫療實踐中發現“蛇油”具有非常好的“消炎止痛”的功效。

中醫有非常悠久的“實踐經驗”，需要發展，也需要去除其不要的東西。但絕不能象方舟子那樣，“通篇看了一遍本草綱目”之後，只看到本草綱目裡面那些“荒唐的偏方”，如屎啊尿的這些risk，而不見“閃光的珍珠”的benefit。
