He/she sounds like a second generation in North American - his Chinese has the distinct features of someone speaks English. He seems to have learned a great deal of simplistic view of Chinese culture and ideas. Many his opinions (from his parents?) are very typical among working people in North American. His admiration for Lu Xun is also typical of someone having certain education in Chinese culture/language, but mainly from books, thus dogmatic. He has after all, had his own ｡ｰbrain being washed｡ｱ, at the other shore.
