Mr. Liu has a Master degree from Columbia Univeristy. However, being an experimentalist, he did not pay much attention to some theoretical aspects of physics. Nevertheless, he is very good experimentalist. Apparently, he found new phenomena that cannot be explained by current theory. Thus, he is belittled by some people.
